Welcome to my Online Journal! My name is Orbie Pullen and I'm a photographer from Santa Cruz, California. As a photographer I mostly do weddings but I do dip into other aspects of photography. I have created this blog to let people know what’s going on in my life and just to share things that I think are interesting. I also created this blog because I wanted to let my clients see sneak peeks of there photographs before they get them. I usually post pics of a wedding the day after so check back to see those sneak peeks of what I do. I also created this blog to show potential clients a little bit of who I am as a person and some samples of my work. So book mark this site now and e-mail a link of this blog to everyone you know. Roaring Camp Railroads Wedding in Felton Ca. with Lindsey and Carlos.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Lindsey and Carlos wedding at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton Ca. This was my first time shooting at Roaring Camp for a wedding and all I have to say what a unique experience. The way it works is everyone gets on a train to go to the ceremony up in a redwood grove then after the ceremony is done everyone re-boards the train then goes back down the mountain to the reception. It was lots of fun and I got to work with some other great vendors(List at end of post) including the always talented Heidi Hughett of Couture Celebrations. It's always great working with a coordinator because it makes my job that much easier. We got some great moments through out the day so check out what I captured.

Chaminade Wedding in Santa Cruz, Ca. with Jennifer and Jamie.

Sorry for the long delay on blogging but I was busy soaking up the sun on my Honeymoon in Hawaii. I know it's a hard life but I deserve it. Before I Tied the knot and headed on my honeymoon I got to photograph Jennifer and Jamie's Special day at one of my favorite local locations Chaminade in Santa Cruz, Ca. The weather was perfect that day and the wedding went great. Check out some of the fresh images I captured on Jamie and Jennifer's Special day.

Private Residence Wedding in Watsonville Ca. with Anna and Jonathan.

Anna and Jonathan were such a lovely couple and they had a beautiful wedding on this private residence in Watsonville Ca. This place was amazing! It had a lake, Apple Orchard, and Winery all in the same place. It is what we like to call "a photographers dream location." The event was perfect and I got some great moments during the day, check out what I captured.

Santa Cruz, Ca. Engagement Session with Erica and Dave.

A few weeks back I got to photograph Erica and Dave's Engagement session around Santa Cruz. We were going to head to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk but they had closed the whole thing down for a private party. So we ended up going to light house field and then natural bridges state beach. Erica and Dave were super cool and we got some great moments through out the session. Check out what I captured.

La Selva Beach Wedding Photography at Flora Vista Inn with Kassi and John.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph John and Kassi's Wedding at the Flora Vista Inn in La Selva Beach, Ca. Big thanks to Stephanie Kass of Aphrodite's Event Planning for coordinating the wedding, like I said before hiring a event planner makes my job that much easier. I highly recommend to all my bride and grooms to hire a event planner. John and Kassi are such cool people and me and john actually had a class together back in my college days. Overall the day went great and we got some awesome photographs, check out what I captured through out the day.

Aptos Wedding Photography | Shelby + Nate.

A few weeks back I got to photograph Shelby and Nate's Wedding at Aptos Park in Aptos, Ca. Shelby and Nate are great people and were easy to work with. Big Thanks to Katherine at Custom Celebrations for making the wedding run smoothly. When a bride and groom hire a event planner it always makes my day that much easier. Shelby and Nate also had a great band that played during the reception. Big shout out to Extra Large for keeping the party moving! Overall it was a great time and I got some awesome photographs to share with you. Enjoy!

Santa Cruz Ca. Wedding Photography at Chaminade Resort with Jennifer and Ryan.

Napa Valley Engagement Photography Session with Jake and Xuan-Thu.

A few weeks back I got to Photograph Jake and Xuan-Thu's Engagement Session in the Napa Valley. When we were planning where we would do the shoot at, Jake and Xuan-Thu both wanted to do the engagement session some where in Napa. So when I began to research a great place to do the session I came across this awesome location called Castello Di Amorosa. I knew this would be the perfect location for their e-session. Then it turns out Xuan-Thu found the same place and e-mailed me the same place! The grounds of this Winery were very stunning and I took advantage of the landscape and compositions it had to offer. Check out some of the images that I captured through out the engagement session.
